Super Y-League ODP National Camp Selections

Congratulations to BC players below for being selected to the Super Y-League ODP National Camp.

The boys’ camp will be held the following weekend, beginning on Thursday, February 26 and continuing through Sunday, March 1. That camp will also consist of three groups, broken down into 1992 born players, 1993 born players and 1994/1995 born players.

Selections from the 2008 season were made from the identification system by the Super Y-League National ODP Scouting Staff. The selection process was then finalized by the ODP Staff Coaches and assembled by the USL office.

NJSIAA 2008 Soccer Rules Modications

Shinguard rule as written by NJSIAA… http://www.njsiaa.org/tournaments/2008/08soccermods.pdf

Rule 4-1-1-Player Equipment

Shinguards must be professionally manufactured, age and size appropriate, not altered to decrease protection, worn under the stockings with the bottom edge no higher than two inches above the ankle. The shinguard must cover at least 60% of the area starting two inches above the ankle and extending to the kneecap. Shinguards must meet NOCSAE specifications.

Alumni Randi Patterson Named Player of the Week in USL-1

The BC graduate was named Player of the Week (ending May 12th and again week ending June 29) of USL First Division, playing with Charleston Battery of South Carolina, Randi scored 2 goals in the 3-1 victory over Miami FC Blues this past Friday.

Patterson came to the Charleston Battery from Major League Soccer’s New York Red Bulls. Patterson spent his rookie season with New York in 2007 but did not see action in any games. In 2006, he helped guide the Carolina Dynamo to an unbeaten season (14-0-2) in the PDL, finishing third in goals and points with 15 goals and three assists in 14 games. His efforts garnered All-Conference and All-League honors.
